What to expect
The official Brazilian Blowout is only offered by certified stylists (like us at Luxe) and only available in salon. When you come in for your appointment, we’ll ask you some questions to fully customize the Brazilian Blowout Experience to your hair goals.
Overall, the process takes an hour to an hour and a half. It all depends on how much hair you have and how thick it is.
We’ll begin by shampooing your hair three or four times to remove all the product and create a base for the treatment to adhere. Working section by section, the Brazilian blowout formula will be applied from root to tip, then blow-dried smooth. A flat iron heated to 450 degrees will seal it in, then it's back to the shampoo bowl to rinse out the treatment, followed by a deep conditioning mask. Finally, your hair will once again be blow-dried smooth.

The Brazilian Blowout will last for 10-12 weeks if Brazilian Blowout aftercare is used. The Brazilian Blowout is a cumulative treatment, in that the more you receive it, the healthier the hair will be and the longer the result will last.

No, your hair will not lose volume as a result of receiving the Brazilian Blowout. Your hair will maintain its natural volume and you will still receive great bend and memory when blow-drying or using a curling iron.

Yes, however, you must color your hair prior to having the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. If you get a Brazilian Blowout and wish to get a color service at a later date, you will need to wait 2 weeks.
